1. First of all, you need to cut a thin slice from the top of the French bread and save it for later use.


2. After that, scoop out the inside of the loaf.


3. Next, measure 2 cups of bread crumbs and soak them in the milk for 10 minutes.


4. Add in the beef, green pepper, onion, egg, salt and pepper. Combine and mix well.


5. Now, fill the bread case with the beef mixture and put the top slice back.


6. Place the bread case on a lightly greased pan and bake it for 75 minutes at 350°F (176°C).


7. Best serve with salsa or hot tomato sauce.
