German Style Meatloaf Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 1/4 cups crushed soda crackers
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large head of cabbage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add in the ground beef, eggs, soda crackers, onion, milk, salt and pepper. Combine and mix well then form into a loaf.
2. Next, separate the leaves of the cabbage and cook it in a saucepan in boiling salted water for several minutes until soften. Drain.
3. Wrap the meatloaf with the cabbage leaves then transfer them into a 2 quart casserole dish and top it with 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 3/4 can water.
4. Bake it for 75 minutes at 350°F (176°C).
5. Serve and enjoy!
